NDT Systems & Services Awarded Over 1,300 Miles Of Inspections

NDT Systems and Services (NDT) was awarded a large number of pipeline inspections from a major oil and gas pipeline operator to assess over 1,300 miles of pipelines for metal loss and stress-related deformations that could result in an unplanned shutdown.

NDT will employ its Linalog® Magnetic Flux Leakage inline inspection tool, combined with a deformation module that detects geometric features such as dents and ovality changes, to collect data in a single pass. The operator will use the data to help determine if repairs are needed to maintain the integrity and continued safe operation of its pipelines.

NDT has begun inspections on several pipeline segments. Nearly all the remaining inspections with the operator are on track to be completed by late fourth quarter.

Gabriel Aguirre has joined NDT Systems & Services as Data Analysis Manager. He will direct management and execution of data analysis projects and reports within the NDT Systems & Services Data Analysis department for the U.S., Canada, and Latin America.

Carol Piovesan has joined NDT Systems & Services as vice president of Americas Regional Sales. She will manage regional sales activities and territories of the U.S., Canada, and Latin America.
