Worker Killed In Blast At BP Compressor Station

An explosion at a BP natural gas site in western Colorado June 25 killed one person and wounded two others.

Local media said the facility is the Pinion compression station, part of BP’s Durango operations near Bayfield that gathers gas from its operations in the San Juan Basin. A crew was performing pipeline maintenance at the site.
