Columbia Gas Expansion To Serve Northeast/Mid-Atlantic Markets

To provide supply access to growing markets in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, Columbia Pipeline Group (CPG) plans to construct additional capacity on the Columbia Gas Transmission system.

The East Side Expansion project will help meet increasing demand by moving gas in northern Pennsylvania to markets along the East Coast and into the mid-Atlantic.

The $210 million expansion calls for two natural gas pipelines: A 9-mile, 26-inch pipeline in Cheser County, PA and a 7½ -mile, 20-inch pipeline in Glouester County, NJ.
The planned modifications will increase capacity up to 310,000 Dth/d using existing and enhanced interconnects with Millennium Pipeline at Columbia’s Wagoner metering station and Tennessee Gas Pipeline at Milford compressor station. In service for the East Side Expansion project is targeted for late 2015.
