Aguirre Offshore GasPort Reaches Project Milestones

On May 2 Excelerate Energy received the Notice of Schedule for Environmental Review from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission for its Aguirre Offshore GasPort Project (AOGP) located offshore Puerto Rico. On the same day, the project received the Letter of Recommendation (LOR) from the U.S. Coast Guard.

The planned facilities include one of Excelerate’s floating storage and regasification units (FSRU) specifically designed to provide closed-loop regasification services, together with an offshore terminal for the berthing of the FSRU and the reception and transfer of LNG. Excelerate is targeting late 2015 to begin service.
