Rosneft Closes Deal For Weatherford Internationals Oil Field Service Firms

Russia’s Rosneft has acquired land drilling and workover assets of Weatherford in Russia and Venezuela. Rosneft acquires eight companies (part of the Weatherford group) involved in drilling operations in Russia and Venezuela.

The deal will allow the company to strengthen its positions for drilling and workover services, expand the array of service contractors which will boost efficiency of drilling and hydrocarbon production and enhance financial results.
