TexStar Midstream Logistics Has Open Season For Texas-Based Pipeline

TexStar Midstream Logistics Pipeline, LP launched a 30-day open season for commitments for service on the TexStar East Texas Pipeline which will transport Eaglebine crude and condensate from Madison, Walker, Grimes and Montgomery counties in Texas to the Houston Ship Channel.

Some 200,000 bopd will pass through the pipeline. TexStar will build and operate the 120-mile, 16-inch pipeline and has commitments from a major integrated energy company and select producers in the Eaglebine for 50,000 bpd of capacity.

TexStar plans to begin construction shortly and be fully operational in early 2016. TexStar is expediting the project by purchasing existing ROW in the Houston area owned by Silverado Pipeline, LLC. Silverado plans to participate in the pipeline project through JV ownership.

“While only a portion of the new line will leverage the existing ROW, we believe it will still translate into savings from both a construction timeline and cost perspective,” commented TexStar’s CEO Phil Mezey.
