Magnolia LNG Gains FERC Approval for Liquefaction Trains
Magnolia LNG received Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) authorization to site, construct and operate facilities to liquefy and export domestically produced natural gas from its LNG terminal near Lake Charles, LA.
Plans call for construction of four 2 mtpa liquefaction production trains, two 160,000-cm, full-containment storage tanks, loading facilities for ships, barges and trucks, and supporting infrastructure.
FERC also authorized the Kinder Morgan Louisiana Pipeline (KMLP) to install compression and other related facilities on the KMLP Pipeline, which will transport full-feed gas volumes to the Magnolia LNG project.
Separately, the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ) approved the air permit for the Magnolia LNG.
