Corrosion Testing in Real Time

Process stream chemistries vary over time, affecting materials’ resistance to corrosion. Common operational factors such as changes in oxygen concentration, start ups and shut downs, and feed stock variability can cause variations. DNV GL’s mobile lab assesses material performance on-site and in real time, and in flowing or quiescent process fluids. Pressure and temperature limits can be specified. The mobile lab arrives at the site with many of the same tools found in the company’s testing and research facility in Columbus, Ohio. Testing can, therefore, be conducted in real time, under normal operating conditions. Immediate benefits from the lab come in the form
