The Plastics Pipe Institute’s Power and Communications Division elected Randy Kummer of Southwire Company as Division chair. In this role, Kummer will also serve on the PPI board of directors for the next two years, succeeding Stephanie Maskas of Four Star Industries. Adriana Velasquez of Shell Polymers was elected vice chair, and Richard Hicks of Dura-Line is now chair of the Education Committee.
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce, along with eight other associations, has taken steps to intervene in litigation seeking to roll back recently enacted reforms to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). Other associations joining the Chamber in the motion include the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America, the American Petroleum Institute and the American Fuel and Petrochemical Manufacturers.
