The American Petroleum Institute (API) named Amanda Eversole as executive vice president and chief advocacy officer and promoted Senior Advisor Shannon DiBari to senior vice president, Business, Operations and Strategy.
In her new role, Eversole will lead the organization’s integrated advocacy efforts across the Federal Government Relations, State Government Relations, and External Mobilization Departments. DiBari will oversee API’s day-to-day business operations.
During her time as executive vice president and chief operating officer (COO), Eversole led the development of API’s strategic plan and the formation of its principles, revitalized and streamlined API’s business operations, and accelerated critical diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts across the industry and at API, the organization said.
Eversole joined API in 2018 as COO from JPMorgan Chase where she led the Public Affairs team. Previously she held a variety of senior positions at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
Common Ground Alliance (CGA), the national nonprofit trade association dedicated to protecting underground utility lines, people who dig near them and their communities, announced that Sam Hall will join the organization as vice president of the Damage Prevention Institute (DPI). The newly created DPI will use data to develop insights and efficiencies to reduce damage to buried infrastructure. In April, CGA announced that the Gold Shovel Association would become a new arm of CGA, the Damage Prevention Institute.
Prior to joining CGA, Hall served as senior program manager for the U.S. Department of Transportation, Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) for more than 15 years, actively engaging with damage prevention stakeholders from the local level to internationally.
He also brings years of experience with data management and analytics in the private sector, as well as in local and federal government, including the development and implementation of metrics and evaluation mechanisms for grant programs, public awareness programs, emergency management systems and state excavation damage prevention law enforcement programs.
