GATE Energy Acquires Pipeline Cleaning Tool

GATE Energy today announced the acquisition of the eelReel Tool, an extended reach solution to clean plugged flowlines and pipelines, and its associated IP and technology.
With an established track record of resolving a multitude of blockages comprising of hydrates, scale, paraffin, and asphaltenes, the eelReel Tool is a state-of-the-art solution for remediation of pipeline blockages and production restoration. It is only coil tubing deployed tool in the industry with an extended reach close to 5 miles, can traverse 5D bends, and is deepwater-certified with patented technology delivering the highest success rate in plug remediation.

BlueFin, a GATE Energy company, will deliver the field execution services of the tool in conjunction with their extensive platform of proprietary chemicals (Polar Solve, Inferno, Aqua Therm, Boost Concentrate), gel pigging technologies (LiquiGel® Pigs), and mechanical cleaning and pigging tools for early intervention (BlueDog Blockage Eliminator).
