More Pipelines Needed in Germany, FNB Gas Says
FNB Gas, an association compromised of German gas transmission system operators, has submitted the second draft of their 2016-2026 Gas Network Development Plan to the country’s Federal Network Agency.
According to the association, an additional 16 miles of pipelines and 16 MW of compressor capacity will be needed to support two power stations planned to be built in the state of Baden-Württemberg.
The Federal Network Agency is expected to request public comments in the near future. Once all comments have been received, they may ask FNB Gas to revise their Gas Network Development Plan, after which FNB Gas would have three months to finalize the 2016-2026 Gas Network Development Plan.
