Open Season Begins for BridgeTex Expansion
12/5/2017
BridgeTex Pipeline Company, LLC, owned 50/50 by Magellan Midstream Partners, L.P. and Plains All American Pipeline, L.P., has launched a supplemental open season to assess customer interest in expanding the capacity of the BridgeTex Pipeline.
The BridgeTex Pipeline, which transports Permian Basin crude oil from Midland and Colorado City, Texas to the Houston Gulf Coast, was recently expanded from 300,000 barrels per day (bpd) to 400,000 bpd. This proposed expansion will increase capacity on the pipeline to approximately 440,000 bpd, with the additional 40,000 bpd of capacity expected to be operational in early 2019.
All potential customers must submit binding commitments by 5:00 p.m. Central Time on Dec. 30, 2017.
