Tallgrass Sets Open Season for Pony Express Pipeline Expansion

LEAWOOD, Kan. – Tallgrass Energy scheduled an open season for crude oil shipping commitments from the Guernsey, Wyo., origin point to refinery delivery points along the Pony Express system and Cushing, Okla. The open season begins at noon Friday and ends Jan. 18.
Depending on the results, the pipeline could expand capacity an additional 300,000 bpd beyond its expected year-end capacity of 400,000 bpd. The company expects to reach full service in the third quarter of 2020.
