Candor Opens SCOOP-to-North Texas Rich Gas Gathering System
HOUSTON (P&GJ) — Candor Midstream said it has opened the SCOOP-to-North Texas Rich Gas Gathering Pipeline System for service following the completion of multiple upgrades and hydrostatic testing of the system it purchased in January.
The system includes 100 miles of 20-inch rich gas gathering pipeline originating in northern Carter County, Okla., and extending across the Texas border before terminating near processing facilities in Bridgeport, Texas.
Candor said the SCOOP-to-North Texas system has an initial operational capacity of up to 200 MMcf/d and is provides SCOOP producers with an immediate outlet to premium processing markets.
“The SCOOP-NORTHTX pipeline debottlenecks the region and offers rich gas gathering solutions and expansion opportunities that are specifically tailored to meet producers’ individual needs in this unique area of Oklahoma and Texas,” said Candor president and chief executive Darrel L. Hagerman.
Candor constructed multiple risers for commercial rich gas receipts, upgraded equipment and added pipeline monitoring capabilities that exceed industry standards, the company said.
“The SCOOP-NORTHTX pipeline gives Candor the ability to provide unparalleled flow assurance with competitive and reliable processing and, most importantly, access to premium gas and NGL markets, which provide our customers with superior producer netbacks,” Candor chief commercial officer Derek Gonseaux said.
Houston-based Candor was established in 2017 to provide comprehensive midstream services across the United States. It is a portfolio company of San Antonio's EnCap Flatrock Midstream, a partnership of Encap Investments and Flatrock Energy Advisors, which manages nearly $9 billion of institutional investments.
