NACE International Corrosion 2020 Conference Cancelled Due to Pandemic
(P&GJ) — After initially postponing its annual conference and exposition due to health guidelines issued from authorities concerning the coronavirus pandemic, NACE International has canceled the conference for this year.
The organization’s CEO, Bob Chalker, issued the following statement to all attendees, exhibitors, and sponsors of this year’s conference:
‘The NACE International staff has continued to monitor the COVID-19 pandemic and government and health official’s recommendations since the postponement of our CORROSION 2020 Conference & Expo in March.
Current guidance from government authorities require that every person in Texas minimize social gatherings and in-person contact with people who are not in the same household.
The NACE Board of Directors regrets to announce that due to circumstances beyond our control, arising from the ongoing spread of COVID-19 and the continuing danger it poses to public health and safety, our June 14-18, 2020 Annual Conference & Expo in Houston, Texas will not take place.
To ensure that the organization can continue to serve the corrosion community, we encourage you to defer your registration and fees from CORROSION 2020 to CORROSION 2021.
