PetroChad Makes First Oil Export to Chad-Cameroon Pipeline
(P&GJ) — Following the recent acquisition of PetroChad Mangara (PCM) by Perenco, PCM announced the successful export of its first barrel to the Chad-Cameroon pipeline, within a month of being under new ownership.
This milestone is the first step in the work program designed to resume production from the Badila and Mangara fields (located in the Doba Basin in southern Chad) to their full combined potential of approximately 16,000 bbl/d.
The rapid resumption of production has been achieved in close coordination with Société des Hydrocarbures du Tchad (SHT) and Chad’s Minister of Hydrocarbons and further demonstrates PCM’s capacity to deliver operational results. In addition to the oilfield operations, PCM has already repaired water wells in neighboring villages and is pleased to be working closely with all stakeholders.
