(P&GJ) — Reports from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reveal that a gas pipeline explosion led to the temporary shutdown of a major highway in Major County on Wednesday morning, according to KOCO 5 News.

The incident occurred on U.S. Highway 60, resulting in its closure between County Roads 237 and 238, which began shortly after 6:45 a.m. Officials successfully reopened the highway before 7:30 a.m., with all emergency personnel having left the scene.

The Major County Sheriff's Office, in response to inquiries from KOCO 5, confirmed the occurrence of a pipeline explosion but offered no further information.
