Freeport LNG Texas Export Plant Unexpectedly Shut During Routine Maintenance

(Reuters) — U.S. liquefied natural gas company Freeport LNG said on Wednesday it shut its export facility in Texas due to the unexpected activation of a fire suppression system in the control room of the pre-treatment facility during routine maintenance.

The company said in an email that there was no active fire at the facility and it was "actively working towards reestablishing operations."
