ONEOK Completes NGL Fractionation and Pipeline Expansion Projects
ONEOK Inc. announced the completion of two key natural gas liquids (NGL) infrastructure projects: the MB-6 fractionator in Mont Belvieu, Texas, and the looping of the West Texas NGL Pipeline system.
The newly operational MB-6 fractionator adds 125,000 barrels per day (bpd) of capacity, bringing ONEOK’s total fractionation capacity to over 1 million bpd. This expansion reduces reliance on third-party fractionation and boosts the company’s ability to meet growing NGL market demands.
Additionally, the full looping of the West Texas NGL Pipeline increases its capacity to 515,000 bpd. ONEOK expects additional pump stations, set for completion by mid-2025, to further raise capacity to 740,000 bpd.
“The completion of these important NGL projects demonstrates our dedication to meeting the needs of our customers by providing reliable midstream solutions,” said Pierce H. Norton II, ONEOK president and chief executive officer. “These strategic expansions provide critical NGL transportation and fractionation capacity, supporting NGL growth across our integrated operations.”
ONEOK, based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, operates a 50,000-mile pipeline network and offers gathering, processing, transportation, and storage services for natural gas, NGLs, refined products, and crude oil. As one of North America’s largest energy infrastructure companies, ONEOK contributes to domestic and international energy security.
