Pipeline Regulatory Expert Michelle Boudreaux Joins Bracewell
(P&GJ) — Bracewell LLP has announced the addition of Michelle T. Boudreaux to its Houston office as a partner in the energy regulatory group. Formerly a partner at Baker Botts L.L.P., Boudreaux brings over 20 years of experience specializing in federal and state regulation of petroleum liquids and natural gas pipelines.
“We are excited to welcome Michelle to the firm,” said Bracewell Managing Partner Gregory M. Bopp. “She’s one of the nation’s most highly regarded energy regulatory lawyers and is a terrific addition to our market-leading energy regulatory practice.”
Boudreaux's expertise spans transactional advice and regulatory compliance, focusing on interstate and intrastate pipelines, with significant experience in litigation before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and the Railroad Commission of Texas.
“Many of us have known Michelle and her excellent reputation in the oil and gas pipeline regulatory community for years,” said Mark K. Lewis, head of Bracewell’s Washington, DC office. “Michelle’s deep understanding of the complexities in oil and gas pipeline regulations and transactions will be invaluable as our clients navigate this dynamic environment.”
Her arrival follows the recent hire of Gene Elrod, further strengthening Bracewell’s market-leading presence in this sector.
Boudreaux cited Bracewell’s distinguished reputation in pipeline regulatory practice as a key factor in her decision to join. She looks forward to leveraging the firm’s platform to enhance her practice and collaborate with a talented team of lawyers.
Boudreaux holds a J.D. magna cum laude from Tulane University Law School and has a strong academic background in law and environmental studies.
