Chevron Begins Pipeline Transport of Leviathan Natural Gas to Ashdod Refinery
(P&GJ) — NewMed Energy LP, a partner in the Leviathan natural gas field offshore Israel alongside Chevron Mediterranean and other stakeholders, announced the commencement of condensate transportation from the field to the Ashdod oil refinery located in western Israel.
This development follows previous disclosures regarding the fulfillment of closing conditions for an agreement between the partners in the Leviathan project and Ashdod Refinery Ltd.
On March 7, the Leviathan project partners initiated the piping of condensate to Ashdod Refinery Ltd. The partnership, Chevron Mediterranean Limited, and Ratio Energies – Limited Partnership are the principal stakeholders in the Leviathan project, holding respective ownership percentages of 45.34%, 39.66%, and 15.00%.
