Technip Energies to Deliver Engineering for Qatar Offshore Gas Compression Project
(P&GJ) — Technip Energies has secured a detailed engineering design contract for QatarEnergy LNG’s North Field Production Sustainability Offshore Compression Project (NFPS COMP 4), awarded by Larsen & Toubro’s hydrocarbon division.
The contract covers two offshore compression complexes, including large platforms, flare platforms, and interconnecting bridges. Technip Energies previously completed the front-end engineering and design (FEED) phase for the same project.
"We are pleased to be entrusted by L&T and QatarEnergy LNG for the Detailed Engineering Design of the NFPS COMP 4 project," said Marco Villa, Chief Business Officer of Technip Energies. "This selection highlights the confidence and trust in our engineering expertise and Technip Energies’ established capability to support Qatar’s energy security, ambitious projects and objectives."
The company defines a “significant” contract as one valued between €50 million and €250 million (approximately $53 million to $265 million). The award was recorded in the first quarter of 2025 under its Technology, Products & Services segment.
