Velocity Management Invests in Oklahoma-Based Pipeline Builder M Wright Services
(P&GJ) — M Wright Services (MWS), a pipeline construction company based in Weatherford, Oklahoma, has received a minority investment from Velocity Management Advisors (VMA), a partnership of seasoned midstream professionals.
Founded in 2011 by Marcus Wright, MWS has grown to serve customers across key basins, including the Permian, Anadarko, Delaware, and North Texas. The company specializes in midstream pipeline construction and is expanding into mainline pipeline projects and plant construction services.
Velocity Management Advisors brings a wealth of experience to MWS. The three senior managers of VMA have built and monetized over $800 million in midstream assets since 2008, including the $442 million sale of Velocity Midstream Partners to Enable Midstream Partners in 2018.
As part of the investment, VMA’s partners—Rick Wilkerson, Van Nguyen, and Mike Parker—will join MWS’s board. Wilkerson, the former CEO of Velocity Midstream, brings nearly three decades of industry experience, while Nguyen and Parker add operational and financial expertise to the team.

The investment, facilitated by ClearRidge with legal counsel from McAfee & Taft for MWS and Hall Estill for VMA, positions MWS to scale its operations and enhance its reputation as a turnkey solution for midstream companies.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
