Chiyoda, McDermott Sign Deal to Finish Golden Pass LNG Trains 2 and 3
(P&GJ) — Chiyoda International Corp. (CIC) and McDermott LLC (MDR) have signed a binding term sheet with Golden Pass LNG Terminal LLC that outlines the commercial framework to complete Trains 2 and 3 at the Golden Pass LNG export project in Sabine Pass, Texas.
The agreement builds on an amendment filed in November 2024 covering Train 1 and, once converted into a full contract amendment, will define the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) scope for all three liquefaction trains.
CIC and MDR said they “continue to progress work on the project” and will work with Golden Pass to finalize the amendment. Additional details, including cost and schedule, were not disclosed. The companies pledged to announce further information once a definitive agreement is reached.
Train 1, Train 2 and Train 3 refer to the project’s first, second and third natural-gas liquefaction units, respectively.
