Desert Mountain Energy Signs Gas Offtake Deal in New Mexico

(P&GJ) — Desert Mountain Energy Corp. has signed an agreement for Roswell Information Park LLC to purchase all natural gas produced at the company’s West Pecos Field in New Mexico. The buyer will also act as primary offtaker for third-party gas entering the same pipeline, with DME earning management fees on those volumes.

The partners—DME, Roswell Information Park and Sustany LLC—are working with local, state and federal agencies to advance a proposed information center that would start at 100–200 MW of power generation and scale past 500 MW. Talks are underway to sell surplus electricity into the New Mexico grid, and the companies are evaluating multiple infrastructure-grant programs to fund the project.

“Currently, the construction of the Roswell Information Park, planned to begin Q1 2026, will generate new revenue streams for DME and create valuable job opportunities in New Mexico – driving long-term growth and infrastructure across the region,” said Robert Rohlfing, CEO and Executive Director of DME. “Additionally, our collaboration with Sustany LLC to explore hydrogen assets at the West Pecos Field in New Mexico underscores our commitment to advancing innovative, sustainable energy solutions.”

In Arizona, Sustany LLC is assessing the McCauley Field area, using DME-owned sites for smaller data centers aimed at boosting regional economic growth and leveraging the company’s land holdings.
