Anaergia to Equip Two More Biomethane Plants for Techbau in Italy
(P&GJ) — Anaergia Inc. says its Italian subsidiary has amended an existing agreement with engineering firm Techbau S.p.A. to cover two additional biomethane plants, lifting the total number of joint projects in Italy to seven.
Under the revised contract, Anaergia S.r.l. will supply the anaerobic-digestion and gas-upgrading equipment, while Techbau will handle engineering, procurement and construction. The facilities, spread across southern Italy, are designed to convert agricultural and food-processing waste into renewable biomethane for injection into the national gas network.
All seven plants are slated to be online by mid-2026. Anaergia said the latest add-on will generate an extra C$9.2 million in revenue, bringing expected income from the full portfolio to more than C$36 million.
