Personnel Changes March 2009

Gary M. Cerny, PE, has joined Michels Corporation as regional marketing director.

Cerny is coming to Michels with over 28 years of experience in the energy business. He is a degreed physicist as well as a licensed professional engineer receiving his master’s in engineering from Texas A & M University. Over the last 10 years, Cerny held the position of president and COO of some of the largest natural gas distribution companies in the upper Midwest.

BJ Services Company announced several key management appointments in the company’s Tubular Services line in North America. Alan Casson has been promoted to area manager – U.S., Mexico and Canada. Paul Adams has been named area manager-Gulf of Mexico with responsibility for overseeing project management, finance and operations and Greg Braquet was named operations manager – Gulf of Mexico. He is responsible for overseeing all tubular services in the Gulf.

In other news, Ryan Elder was appointed business development manager–Middle East and Russia for the company’s tubular and completion assembly service line.

Mike LaMont has accepted a position to become Practice Manager for the Integrity Services department of American Innovations’ Integrity Management Division. He will direct the delivery of services to integrity and risk management organizations in the oil and gas industry, as well as develop and supervise asset integrity plans and programs for various liquid and gas companies.

Joseph R. Mastrangelo has been named vice president of the equipment division at GE Oil & Gas.

Tim Stewart was recently promoted to FRP supervisor at Duoline® Technologies.

The Gas Certification Institute (GCI), a Houston-based gas measurement certification company, has appointed George E. Brown III as executive director, effective immediately. Brown will be responsible for all aspects of the company’s measurement certification operations in training, standard operating procedures, audit services, and equipment certification.

The Board of Directors of Regency Energy Partners LP announced the appointment of Dennie W. Dixon as senior vice president of operations for gathering, processing and transportation. Dixon received a bachelor’s degree in natural gas engineering from Texas A&I University in Kingsville, TX and holds a master’s degree in business administration with a focus on finance from the University of Houston.

TransCanada’s CEO, Hal Kvisle, was recently named Canada’s Outstanding CEO of the Year for 2008.
