Telvent To Upgrade Control/Monitoring Systems On Cold Lake Pipeline

Telvent will replace and consolidate the existing control and monitoring systems of Inter Pipeline Fund’s (IPF) 85% owned and operated Cold Lake pipeline system.

Based on co-engineering study results, Telvent will design, configure, and commission the new Cold Lake pipeline control system that will include its OASyS DNA 7.5 SCADA system. Telvent’s SimSuite Pipeline tools will use real-time data from the SCADA for modeling, leak detection, and batch tracking activities to optimize operations. Telvent’s Liquids Management Suite will interface between the SCADA and corporate business processes, providing the operations data in real time to IPF. PC users within the organization will be able to access and view SCADA data as needed without compromising the operational and security integrity of the main and backup control centers.
