Tulsa, OK-based Darby Equipment Company has hired three employees to fill key management and engineering positions. Nick Minden joined Darby as chief financial officer. Joining Darby as senior mechanical engineer is Jeff Rollow. Robyne Chatham is now the purchasing agent at Darby.
Jeffrey Stello has been named president/CEO of MATCOR® Inc. Stello takes over for founder William Schutt who was president/CEO for 35 years and will continue as chairman.
In other news, the company named Timothy Disney as general manager of the Houston/Gulf Coast operations. Based out of Katy, TX, he will manage sales, engineering, service delivery and project management needs.
Ramona Thibeaul has joined Sugar Land, TX–based Welker Inc. as vice president of Marketing and Sales.
Steel tubular manufacturer TMK IPSCO has named George Adams to the newly created position of director of sales – OCTG – Americas. Adams, based in Houston, will be responsible for coordinating and integrating sales activity for TMK IPSCO’s OCTG product lines and for bringing into focus the company’s new market direction for seamless, ERW and related products, imported and domestic.
Tom Morrow, Ph.D., P.E. has joined the Letton-Hall Group, a flow measurement consulting group, after 25 years with the Southwest Research Institute and five years with the University of Texas at San Antonio. He can be reached at morrow@letton-hall.com.
Magnum Gas Storage, LLC, has added to two energy executives to the company’s management team. Mike McGown was named CFO and Sam Quigley is general manager.
Bechtel named retired Chevron chairman and CEO David J. O’Reilly to its board of directors.
CenterPoint Energy, Inc. has named Clarence Albright senior vice president, Policy and Government Affairs. He is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to advance the company’s legislative and regulatory agenda at the federal level.
Lloyd’s Register North America, Inc. has appointed James Benjamin vice president of Business Development for its energy business in the Americas. He is based in Houston.
RigNet, Inc. has named Molly McGuirk director – Product Management. She will be based in Houston.
Ian Anderson has joined CH2M HILL as president of the Energy and Chemicals Business Group. He is responsible for operations, project delivery and profitability for energy and chemicals.
Will Buddin has joined Godwin Pumps as branch manager for the Raleigh, NC-based rental branch.
Jacob J. Worenklein, a member of the Board of Directors and audit committee at Ormat Technologies Inc. since November 2004, will step down on March 31. His resignation comes as a result of his joining a law firm that prevents its partners from serving as directors of public companies.
Global Industries, Ltd. has appointed Trudy P. McConnaughhay as vice president and controller. She is responsible for worldwide financial reporting and accounting and will report to Peter Atkinson, president of Global.
Global also announced that Atkinson will act as principal financial officer until the company finds a CFO to replace Jeffrey B. Levos who resigned in November.
Tulsa, OK-based MIRATECH Corp. has named two new regional sales managers. John Crain is sales manager for Houston and South Texas while Curtis Ward will handle sales in West Texas and southern New Mexico.
Randall Booth and Julie Jozwik have joined KNIPEX-Tools’ sales and marketing team at its office in Arlington Heights, IL.
American Innovations’ Field Data Division (FDD) has hired Ed Kruft as vice president of Sales and Marketing.
Electro-Flow Controls, an Aberdeen-based leading designer and manufacturer of instrumentation, monitoring and control systems for the global oil and gas industry, has appointed Dave Walker as financial director.
