CRC-Evans/Technip Norway Welding Service Agreement

CRC-Evans Pipeline International, Inc. announced a new strategic agreement between its Offshore division and Technip Norway.

CRC-Evans Offshore will provide all onsite welding services, including full supply of welding equipment and personnel to the Statoil Hyme and Vigdis mainline welding projects.

The agreement, which will be valid until 2014, extends the 15-year relationship between Technip Norway and CRC-Evans. This contract furthers the scope of services provided by CRC-Evans in its longstanding collaboration with Technip Norway on the supply of welding equipment, technicians and consumables for the Statoil Hyme and Vigdis projects. CRC-Evans will also be responsible for managing the welding firing line for the projects, charged with achieving targeted productivity.

CRC-Evans will bring its newest equipment onsite – including the P625, P260 and CMT welding systems, pipe facing machines and internal clamps which will include the latest purge and laser systems. CRC-Evans has proposed a significant increase in production rates and site efficiency for the projects.
