Southern Star Holds Open Season For Oklahoma Expansion Project

Southern Star Central Gas Pipeline, Inc. held an open season inviting parties interested in firm transportation capacity on the Straight Blackwell Expansion to submit bids by Dec. 7.

The planned expansion would involve expanding the capacity of Southern Star’s system beginning in Texas County, OK along the Straight Blackwell Line (Line Segment 315) extending east to its Blackwell Compressor Station, located in Kay County, OK. This would serve the western Oklahoma production corridor including the Granite Wash, Cleveland/Tonkawa and Mississippi Lime areas with access to markets in Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri as well as to other intrastate and interstate pipelines.

Presuming sufficient market interest, Southern Star anticipates the expansion would begin service by Oct. 1, 2013.
