Sunoco Pipeline Plans Pipeline Expansions

Sunoco Pipeline L.P. began an open season July 17 for its Granite Wash Extension. The pipeline will provide crude oil takeaway capacity from the Granite Wash Shale in the northeastern Texas Panhandle and portions of western Oklahoma.

The pipeline will originate in Wheeler County, TX and terminate in Ringgold, TX where it will interconnect with an existing Partnership pipeline with the ability to provide transportation to Corsicana.

From Corsicana, access to multiple SXL and third-party pipelines will provide access to various markets and refineries on the Gulf Coast and in the MidContinent. The Partnership will lay 200 miles of pipeline and construct pump stations, tankage and truck unloading facilities. The Granite Wash Extension is anticipated to have initial capacity of 70,000 bpd to Ringgold and is expected to be operational in late 2014.

Sunoco Pipeline also began an open season for the Eaglebine Express pipeline on May 14. The pipeline will provide takeaway capacity for the growing production of the Eaglebine and Woodbine crude areas to Nederland, TX, including Sunoco Logistics’s Nederland Terminal. Sunoco Logistics will convert a portion of its existing refined products MagTex pipeline into crude service and reverse the flow of the pipeline from Hearne, TX to the Nederland area as part of the project.

The Eaglebine Express pipeline is anticipated to have an initial transport capacity of 60,000 bpd to Nederland. It is expected to be operational in mid-2014.
