Jacobs Wins Contract for Tuxpan-Tula Project in Mexico

Jacobs Engineering Group received a contract for detailed engineering of facilities associated with the Tuxpan-Tula Pipeline Project in Mexico.

As subcontractor for pipeline facilities, Jacobs is providing engineering, procurement and field engineering support for the installation of a compressor station, a meter station and associated pipeline appurtenances along the 155-mile, 36-inch pipeline.

TransCanada is the builder, owner and operator of the pipeline, which is supported by a 25-year natural gas transportation service contract with the Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE), Mexico’s state-owned power company. Bonatti S.p.A. is the prime contractor.

“We are delighted to contribute to this important project, which will fuel power generation for vital regions in Mexico,” said Manuel Junco, Jacobs senior vice president, Petroleum and Chemicals Division. “We look forward to a productive partnership with Bonatti S.p.A. to support TransCanada’s continued growth in the Mexico market.”
