Woodside, Sempra May Partner on LNG Development in Texas
Woodside affiliate, Woodside Energy (USA) Inc. (WUSA), has entered into a project development agreement (PDA) with Sempra LNG & Midstream, an affiliate of Sempra Energy, to assess construction of the Port Arthur LNG natural gas liquefaction facility in Port Arthur, TX.
If the project moves forward, it will be located 85 miles east of Houston at a site previously permitted for an LNG regasification terminal. The project could include two NGL trains with total export capability of 10 mtpa LNG storage tanks and marine facilities for LNG ship berthing and loading.
