ControlAir’s Type 6100 Aluminum and Type 6200 Stainless Steel Large Flow Capacity Volume Boosters were awarded a Certificate of Compliance to IEC 61508 for a SIL 3 safety rating. The boosters handle up to 250 psig (17.0 bar) supply pressure and deliver an output pressure up to 150 psig (10.0 bar). The units provide a flow capacity of up to 225 scfm (6,300 Nl/min). The Type 6500/6600 units will provide up to 400 scfm (11,300 Nl/min). Both units are rated to a wide operating temperature range of ‐40º to 200ºF (‐40º to 93ºC) with low-temperature options available. The Type 6500/6600 are available in ¾-inch (19-mm) and 1-inch (25.4-mm) NPT porting. The Type 6100/6200 are available in ¼-, ½/- and ¾-inch (6.35-, 12.7- and 19-mm) NPT porting. The boosters were evaluated by a third-party certification agency.  


Koike Aronson Ransome offers the Cricket-I, a new welding manipulator designed for the small to mid-size fabrication market. The equipment has both a 6-foot (1.8-meter) power lift and manual reach, to provide stable welding. The device comes standard with a manual travel car, including V-wheels and fork truck pockets for mobility, and mast rotation with lock for added functionality. Customers have the option of purchasing an entire pipe welding package, incorporating both the Cricket-I and Koike’s standard Wel-Handy Multi Next and WU-3 weaver that is mounted on the end of the boom. This package is configured to use the 3- by 3-inch (76- by 76-mm) manual cross slide and built-in weaving functionality to automate pipe welding, increasing quality and maximizing productivity.  

Esco Tool  

Esco Tool offers a portable, inner-diameter clamping pipe beveller with a variable-speed electric motor for use on-site. The Prepzilla Millhog Clamping End Prep Tool features an electric motor with increased power and variable speeds from 9 to 31 rpm for continuous use and faster beveling. Equipped with a three-blade holder that can bevel any angle, face and bore simultaneously, the tool can produce precision end preps on hard stainless steels and highly alloyed pipe. It only requires one mandrel and eight sets of clamps for its entire range. The tool is designed for pipe ranging from a 1.575-inch (40-mm) inner diameter (ID) to an 8.62-inch (219-mm) outer diameter (OD). It has motor specifications of 230 V, 3.08 hp (2,300 W), 50 to 60 Hz, and has dual-opposed tapered roller bearings to support the motor.  


Vermeer expanded its horizontal directional drilling (HDD) fluid management equipment line with the new R600T reclaimer. The new 600-gallons-per-minute (2,271-L/min) mud recycling system can pair with maxi-rigs pumping between 300 gallons per minute and 600 gallons per minute (1,135.6 L/min and 2,271.3 L/min) on pipeline and other large-diameter installation projects. The R600T features a redesigned linear-motion shaker deck to help reduce weight, increase the available G-force and extend screen life, as well as several other performance and serviceability-enhancing features. The three-tank (scalped, middle and clean) R600T reclaimer has a total fluid capacity of 7,729 gallons (29,257.4 L) and can process 1,100 gallons per minute (4,163.9 L/min) of drilling slurry for a true cleaning capacity suited for HDD projects in the 600-gallons-per-minute (2,271.2-L/min) range.  


Dresser Natural Gas Solutions launched a multipoint injection controller adjustment for its Texsteam pumps, through its Industrial Products Group (IPG). Texsteam multipoint injection will be used in oil and gas wellhead chemical injection operations to distribute chemicals from a single chemical injection pump to multiple injection points. The system works to a maximum operating pressure of 2,500 psi (172 bar) with the solenoid assembly having only  
10W power consumption. The electrical junction box is explosion-proof, dust-ignition-proof, and raintight-certified. The solenoid valves are Class I and II Groups C, D, E, F and G, Division 1 and 2. The multipoint system is used with the Class 1, Division 2 iCIP Solar package.  


Transneft Diascan offers a 36-MSK.10-00.000 combined magnetic flaw detector with a speed controller, which allows inline inspection of trunk pipelines and oil and gas pipelines with an outer diameter of 914.4 mm (36-inch API) and 965.2 mm (38-inch API). The inline inspection tool can move in both a fluid flow and a gas flow. The speed control feature included in the design of the tool enables it to use the flaw detector in gas pipelines. It maintains the speed of the inspection tool in the working range (up to 4 m/s). The inspection tool includes a battery section and three magnetic sections; one of them has longitudinal magnetization (MFL), and two others have circumferential magnetization (TFI). The tool can also be operated in either MFL or TFI mode.
