David N. Parker
David N. Parker, who served 13 years as president and CEO of the American Gas Association (AGA), died May 10. He was 80 years old. Parker joined AGA in September 1997 and was instrumental in raising AGA’s profile, instilling a collaborative culture and delivering a heightened level of value for its members. In 1998, Parker moved AGA’s office from Crystal City to Washington, D.C. During his tenure, Parker initiated work with the International Gas Union, enhancing their operations to ensure greater global coordination, a step that led to the U.S. hosting both LNG17 in Texas in 2013 and the World Gas Conference in Washington in 2018.
