Scott Glaeser has joined Burns & McDonnell, where he will start up and lead a pipeline integrity practice within the Transmission & Distribution (T&D) Group. Over a career spanning nearly 35 years, Glaeser has served in a number of officer roles at a large Midwestern utility, where he had wide-ranging responsibilities for natural gas operations. His management experience includes transmission and storage, system operations, regulatory compliance, pipeline integrity, pipeline safety, gas supply, maintenance, construction, and business development. He also spent several years working for a Houston-based pipeline engineering and services firm focused on pipeline integrity and engineering projects for gas utilities and interstate pipelines.
PLH Group announced that Craig Keller has been named vice president of Business Development for its pipeline division. In his new role, Keller will be responsible for working with customers to build and enhance business relationships within its pipeline segment companies, which include Snelson Companies, Energy Services South, Southeast Directional Drilling and Pipeworx. Keller most recently served as manager of Business Development for a nationwide pipeline construction contractor after spending 15 years in sales, management and business development roles in the oil and gas industry. He will be based in PLH Group’s Woodlands, Texas, office.
MHI Compressor International Corporation (MCO) has appointed Jun Fukuda as its new president and CEO. He succeeds Manabu Saga, who has returned to Hiroshima, Japan, as an advisor for MCO. Fukuda joined Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) in 1987 and has served in various management roles for both MHI and MCO. In 2014, he was appointed deputy general manager, Global Marketing and Sales division, where he was in charge of the Hiroshima division. From 2017, he served as executive vice president, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America, Inc, before returning to Hiroshima as director of MCO since 2018.
Justin Vala has been named senior vice president, Engineering and Construction at Tenaska following the retirement of Nick Borman, who had overseen the company’s engineering function since 2012. Vala joined Tenaska in 2008 and was initially involved in technology selection, plant configuration and management of front-end engineering and design studies for clean coal project development efforts. Subsequently, he has supported a broad range of other prospective commercial development efforts, including natural gas and cogeneration power plant development, liquefied natural gas production and marketing, and advanced biofuels project evaluations. Prior to joining Tenaska, Vala worked for ExxonMobil Chemical, primarily in the Olefins Group, as a technology engineer, plant engineer and energy coordinator.
Diane M. Sanzone has joined the Kleinfelder’s San Diego-based West Division as senior program manager, vice president, Environment. With a doctoral degree in ecology and more than 29 years of experience, Sanzone will direct and lead technical teams across the West Division to expand Kleinfelder’s portfolio of work and deliver solutions on complex, high-profile projects. Sanzone has served on environmental advisory committees and technical work-groups for the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), American Petroleum Institute (API), International Oil and Gas Producers Association (IOGP), Offshore Operators Committee (OOC), and the Alaska Oil and Gas Association (AOGA).
ORUD Natural Gas has promoted Jeff Patterson to the position of president and general manager. He has 27 years of experience in various roles and management positions within the Operations department, most recently as vice president of Operations.
PG&E announced the appointments of Joe Forline as senior vice president of Gas Operations, and Janisse Quiñones as senior vice president of Gas Engineering, as well as the promotion of Mark Quinlan to vice president, PSPS Operations and Execution. Forline is responsible for the utility’s gas transmission and distribution operations, with a focus on safety, compliance, customer service and operational efficiency.
Quiñones joins PG&E from National Grid and is responsible for gas engineering and strategy. Quinlan oversees the planning, preparation and execution of the company’s Public Safety Power Shutoff, or PSPS, program.
