FERC OKs Request to Place Part of AIM Project in Service
FERC has approved Algonquin Gas Transmission, LLC’s request to place into service the Stony Point to Yorktown Take-up and Relay from mileposts 2.6 to 5.5 of the Algonquin Incremental Market Project in Rockland and Westchester Counties, New York, enabling Algonquin to provide the remaining 97,000 dekatherms per day of incremental firm transportation service.
According to Rich McGuire, Director, Division of Gas – Environment and Engineering with FERC, the commission’s decision was based on daily third-party compliance monitor field inspections, which indicated that rehabilitation and stabilization of the construction work areas for these facilities are proceeding satisfactorily and are currently in compliance with the terms of FERC’s March 3, 2015 Order Issuing Certificate.
