More than 600 Miles of Power of Siberia Construction to Be Finished in 2017
6/9/2017
Gazprom has announced that construction of more than 684 miles of the Power of Siberia Pipeline is expected to be finished in 2017.
Under the terms of the contract signed between Gazprom and CNPC, natural gas supplies via the eastern route of the pipeline are projected to begin sometime between May 2019 through May 2021, with 38 billion cubic meters of gas to be transported annually.
Once completed, the approximately 1864-mile Power of Siberia Pipeline will deliver natural gas from the Chayanda oil and gas condensate deposit in Yakutia and the Kovykta gas condensate field in the Irkutsk Region of Eastern Siberia for export to China.
