Wood Group Wins Contracts to Conduct Feasibility Studies for Statoil
Wood Group has been awarded two new contracts by Statoil to deliver concept and feasibility studies for the company’s Norwegian North Sea assets.
Effective immediately, Wood Group will deliver a topside concept study evaluating the tie-in of Total’s Garantiana field development to Statoil’s Gullfaks B and Visund facilities. In addition, the company will conduct a feasibility study for Statoil’s Tampen oil pipeline, covering subsea pipelines and risers and topside modifications.
“The award of these two new contracts demonstrates the strong relationship we have developed with Statoil, which spans more than two decades and stretches across their global portfolio of assets,” Robin Watson, Wood Group’s chief executive, said. “We will utilise our broad depth of capabilities, Norwegian North Sea experience and robust technical expertise in concept and feasibility studies to support their successful delivery.”
The two contracts were awarded as part of a master services agreement signed by the two companies in May 2016, authorizing Wood Group to support the life cycles of Statoil’s offshore and onshore facilities.
The studies will be conducted by Wood Group’s offices in Norway.
