ET Completes Successful Bakken Open Season, Texas System Expansion

Dallas-based Energy Transfer LP said it completed a successful open season for the Bakken Pipeline system and placed its expanded North Texas gas pipeline in service while announcing record 2018 financial results.
The Bakken Pipeline open season was launched in October by ET's Dakota Access and Energy Transfer Crude Oil Company subsidiaries for expanded transportation service from the Bakken/Three Forks play in North Dakota to storage terminals located in Patoka, Ill., and Nederland, Texas.
The expansion will increase capacity to 570,000 bpd on Bakken − a 1,915-mile, mostly 30-inch pipeline system that went into service on June 1, 2017.
The Bakken Pipeline is a joint venture between ET, with a 38.25% interest, MarEn Bakken Company (36.75%), and Phillips 66 Partners (25%). MarEn is owned by MPLX and Enbridge Energy Partners.
ET also said its North Texas natural gas pipeline 160,000 MMBtu/d expansion was placed in service in January 2019. The 160-mile pipeline is part of an integrated system that operates in four North Texas counties to gather, compress, treat, process and transport natural gas from the Barnett and Woodford Shales. The system includes the 700-MMcf/d Godley processing plant and a 100-MMcf/d natural gas conditioning facility.
The partnership also said it placed its 150,000-bpd Frac VI fractionator in service this month at Mont Belvieu.
