Russia's Gazprom Starts Transport Gas Via TurkStream, Awaits Nord Stream 2 Approval

(Reuters) — Russia's Gazprom said it has started transporting gas to Hungary and Croatia on Friday via the TurkStream pipeline.

Russian gas supplies via the TurkStream pipeline to Hungary have irked Ukraine, which is now deprived of part of transit revenues and can no longer import reverse flow gas from Hungary.

Also on Friday, the Kremlin said that German authorities were continuing to work on the certification of the Nord Stream 2 natural gas pipeline to Germany.

German utility Uniper's CEO said earlier that he did not expect an operating license for the undersea pipeline to be issued quickly.
