Natural Gas Pipeline Explodes in Fort Bend County, Texas

A pipeline rupture led to an explosion on Thursday morning in rural Fort Bend County, Texas, with emergency crews extinguishing the fire shortly after the burst, according to Fox News.
The incident occurred at 15400 JoAnn near FM 1952, between Wallis and Orchard, just before 11 a.m. CT. The fire was able to be contained by 12:15 p.m. CT after local residents were evacuated, officials told Fox.
The operator, Energy Transfer, arrived at the site to access the total damage, Fort Bend officials reported.
No injuries were reported and there was minimal property damage as the incident occurred in an isolated area, according to Fort Bend County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management.
