APGA Promotes Erin Kurilla to Executive Vice President
(P&GJ) — The American Public Gas Association (APGA) has promoted Erin Kurilla to Executive Vice President, Vice President of Advocacy & Operations. The APGA represents over 730 local, municipally owned natural gas systems across 38 states.
Kurilla joined the association in 2017 as Director for Operations & Safety, later becoming Vice President in August 2018. In 2021, she also took on the role of Chief Operating Officer for the APGA Security and Integrity Foundation (SIF), a nonprofit dedicated to enhancing the security and operational integrity of natural gas distribution systems.
Holding a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University, Kurilla collaborates with APGA members, regulators, and stakeholders to improve the safety and reliability of the nation’s pipeline infrastructure.
In her new position, she will continue overseeing many of her existing responsibilities while expanding her focus on APGA's legislative and regulatory advocacy efforts.
APGA President and CEO Dave Schryver noted, “Erin is clearly an experienced, knowledgeable resource for APGA, its members, and the public natural gas distribution industry. Erin is dedicated to the continued safe operation and reliable delivery of natural gas to homes and businesses. She is committed to advocating for the accessibility of the direct use of natural gas for millions of American consumers. APGA is confident in Erin’s ability to lead, and we are pleased to welcome her into her expanded role.”
