Colonial Pipeline Allocates Cycle 61 Shipments on Distillate Line 2
(Reuters) — Colonial Pipeline Co. is allocating space for Cycle 61 shipments on Line 2, which carries distillates from Houston, Texas to Greensboro, North Carolina, the company said in a notice sent to shippers on Thursday.
Committed information regarding the allocations will be available on Oct. 21. The pipeline operator typically announces allocations when the nominations—or requests—for space to ship petroleum products exceed its capacity to meet the five-day lifting cycle.
Colonial operates on five-day cycles, during which a sequence of all in-season products is pumped. The company consistently pumps the same sequence of products every five days.
Colonial connects U.S. Gulf Coast refineries with markets across the southern and eastern United States through more than 5,500 miles (8,850 km) of pipeline, delivering gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, and other refined products.
