The Alaska Oil and Gas Association (AOGA) board of directors named Kara Moriarty, AOGA Deputy Director, the new executive director. She succeeds Marilyn Crockett who is retiring from AOGA after more than 41 years of service.

Lawrence T. Borgard, president and COO, utilities at Integrys Energy Group, Inc., was elected chairman of the American Gas Association (AGA) Board of Directors for 2012. He was elected alongside several other officers at AGA’s Executive Conference in San Diego, CA.

Other officers for 2012 will be: First Vice Chairman Ronald W. Jibson, president and CEO, Questar Corp. (Salt Lake City, UT); Second Vice Chairman Gregg S. Kantor, president and CEO, NW Natural (Portland, OR); Immediate Past Chairman John W. Somerhalder II, chairman, president and CEO of AGL Resources, Inc. (Atlanta, GA).

Also at the conference, the AGA awarded the Distinguished Service award to Douglas H. Yaeger, chairman and CEO of The Laclede Group, Inc., parent company of Laclede Gas Co.

Subsea UK unveiled its new board after the industry body held its biennial election. Neil Gordon, chief executive of Subsea UK, said: “The UK subsea industry has had an exceptional year with unprecedented growth which puts it in a strong position as we look forward to a new year.”

Subsea UK’s Board members for 2012 are: Frank Bee, Shell; Ian Mitchell, BP; Tim Sheehan, Rotech; Dr. Patrick O’Brien, MCS Kenny; John Mair, Subsea 7; Alan Nicol, Nautronix; Denise Smiles, OMS; Geoff Fisher, Technip Offshore Wind; Fraser Moonie, Bibby Offshore; and Geoff Lyons, BPP-Tech.

The International Society of Automation (ISA) named Ahmad B. Rad new editor-in-chief of ISA Transactions, succeeding R. Russell Rhinehart.

Personnel Changes
The board of BP plc said Brian Gilvary will join the board and become CFO on Jan. 1. Byron Grote, current CFO, will become executive vice president, corporate business activities and continue on the board.

FMC Technologies, Inc. reported the following changes to its executive leadership team: Bill Schumann, executive vice president and CFO, is retiring after 30 years of service. While stepping down as CFO he will continue to focus on strategic activities for FMC.

Maryann Seaman, vice president, treasurer and deputy CFO, will succeed Schumann as senior vice president and CFO. Halet Murphy will replace Seaman as treasurer.

Greene’s Energy Group named Ray Keller senior sales representative for the northeastern region of the United States. Based in the Imperial, PA office, Keller will assist clients with hydrostatic testing, cleaning, drying, pigging, water treatment and other services in the Marcellus Shale and Northeast regions.

The U.S. subsidiary of August Rüggeberg GmbH & Co. of Marienheide, Germany, appointed Mark Noe as director of sales. He will report to PFERD President Gene Huegin with responsibility for all U.S. sales operations.

Boardwalk Pipeline Partners named Patrick Giroir president of its new operating subsidiary, Boardwalk Field Services, LLC. The unit will be a full-service midstream gas company focused on developing and operating gas gathering, compression, dehydration, treating, and processing infrastructure.

ENGlobal said John R. Beall accepted the position of CFO. He was appointed interim CFO earlier in the year. To increase ENGlobal’s focus in the Middle East, Dennis E. Pisula, senior vice president – Business Development, was promoted to senior vice president – International Business Development, and Cynthia L. Southall re-assumed the role of senior vice president – Business Development.

Andrew Puhala was named vice president and CFO of Artificial Lift Co.

ACE Winches appointed Graeme Wood as COO to guide the growth of the deck machinery specialist into international markets.

Hoerbiger Compression Technology named Donald York COO and senior vice president of Hoerbiger Corporation of America, Inc. He will be based in Houston.

First Reserve Corporation strengthened its infrastructure investment capabilities with the appointment of Eduard Ruijs as a director and Ed Fidler as vice president in the infrastructure investment team. They will be based in London.

John E. Hagale was promoted to executive vice president at Rosetta Resources Inc. He will lead the financial, accounting, tax, investor relations and marketing and trading functions.

The Penspen Group named Senior Subsea Specialist Nick Haines to its offshore engineering stream in London. He will work with colleagues across the offshore stream to provide client support for subsea and specifically deepwater field development studies and projects internationally.

Brad Burgess joined Topcon Positioning Systems as national sales manager for scanning products in the Topcon Emerging Business Unit.

UTEC Survey named Giovanni Ranieri as business development director at UTEC Survey Mediterranean in Naples, Italy.

Hempel added Kunal Nadkami as group oil and gas segment manager. He will be based in Houston.

Stewart Buchanan was named new product development manager at Atlas and will be based in Aberdeen, Scotland.

Jee hired Lead CAD Designer Chris Phillips to complement its engineering team.

Robert J. Monlezun, Jr. joined Hoover Materials Handling Group, Inc. as regional operations manager for the Louisiana Service Center in Broussard, LA.
Stahlin Non-Metallic Enclosures, manufacturer of fiberglass enclosure products, has appointed Chris Wood to an inside sales position.

William C. Haneberg has joined Fugro GeoConsulting, Inc. in Houston.

James Han was appointed president of Wärtsilä China, succeeding John Zhu.
