AS-Schneider Opens Middle East Office

Following the setup of AS-Schneider Asia-Pacific in Singapore in 2011, the Armaturenfabrik Franz Schneider GmbH + Co. KG opened another company, AS-Schneider Middle East FZE, in Dubai in late 2012.

Tim Kohler, CEO of AS-Schneider Asia-Pacific, said a subsidiary on the Arabian Peninsula had long been planned and the interplay between the creation of the subsidiary in Singapore, the strong growth markets of the Persian Gulf states and the close cooperation with existing customers in Dubai contributed significantly to the decision to found the company.

“Above all, AS-Schneider has learned from the example of Singapore that you have to have a daily presence in the key markets to be able to participate in the successful growth there,” Kohler said.
