Southern Peruvian Gas Pipeline To Be Awarded In 2014

The Southern Peruvian Pipeline project will be awarded in February, according to Peru’s investment promotion agency, ProInversion. The selected contractor will design, build, operate and maintain the pipeline.

The infrastructure plan includes the reinforcement of the natural gas pipeline system from the Malvinas separation plant to the Chiquintirca compression plant. The work will include construction of a natural gas pipeline from Anta to the southern coast of Peru.

The company has given assurance bids will be accepted shortly. Upon completion of the contract, operatorship of the project will revert back to the Peruvian government.
