Polyflow LLC
Polyflow recently introduced Thermoflex® PE, a lightweight, easy-to-install polyethylene pipe for cold weather climates. Production of Thermoflex PE is underway and will initially be available in 4-inch (750 psi max) and 4.5-inch (500 psi max) sizes. According to the company, with Thermoflex PE, operators in cold environments can benefit from its resistance to corrosion and cyclical loading. This allows oil and gas exploration and production companies in the Bakken and other northern regions to get wells flowing faster for increased profitability while enhancing safety, reliability and longevity. www.polyflowglobal.com
High Pressure Equipment
High Pressure Equipment (HiP) introduces a trunion style block and bleed ball valve for calibration applications to 15,000 psi. This new ball valve is designed to provide double-positive isolation and is an excellent method to block and bleed high-pressure hydraulic and pneumatic systems used for pressure monitoring and test, chemical injection and drain line isolation. This full port, quarter turn double ball valve features 316 stainless steel construction, They are available in .203-, .250-, .313- and .375-inch orifices and will accommodate 3/8-, 9/16-, ¾-, ¼- NPT, 3/8-inch NPT and ½-inch NPT tube sizes. Smith Flow Control Ltd.
The new Bajolock® coupling from Smith Flow Control protects against accidents when opening couplings under pressure. The device is ideal for a wide range of applications including oil and gas, petrochemical and pipelines. When opened, Bajolock couplings automatically catch any dangerous residual pressure and discharge it safely away from the worker. When no potentially harmful pressure exists, the couplings can be operated normally with a simple twist. The Bajolock coupling is designed for use in transfer systems for pressures up to 145 psi. Inline Services
Inline’s polyurethane spheres are ideal for removing liquids from wet gas systems, product separation, hydrostatic line testing and wax control in crude oil pipelines. Ditch Witch
Ditch Witch®, a Charles Machine Works Company, is offering the RT80 ride-on trencher. Powered by a 74.5-hp (62kW) turbo-charged Deutz Tier 4 diesel engine, the RT80 enables long-term productivity to meet the demands of most heavy-duty trenching jobs. Terramac
Terramac is offering the RT14 Rubber Track Crawler Carrier. This unit is built with American ¼-inch steel for durability as well as Eaton pumps to deliver functionality. A Parker IQAN-MD4 master display control system allows for full graphical, diagnostic and controller area network (CAN) gateway capability and an upgraded multi-function joystick with dump controls provides user-friendly operation. The unit is powered by a 280-hp QSC 8.3 Cummins engine and has a carrying capacity of 28,000 lbs. Caterpillar Oil & Gas
Caterpillar Oil & Gas is offering the Cat® CG137-12 oilfield gas generator set that received U.S. EPA Tier 2 SI Non-road Mobile certification. Primarily used in oil and gas power generation applications, the CG137-12 is available with power ratings of 400 ekW @ 60 Hz. The CG137-12 offers transient performance, capable of accepting 50% and 30% load steps that meet ISO 8528 G1 and G2 standards, respectively, while operating on a wide range of gas quality – from wellhead gas to pipeline gas. Barben Analytical
Barben Analytical has added the BOS SAFETAP retractable optical oxygen sensor to its product offering. Retractable (hot tap) sensors allow the measurement element to be inserted directly into the process pipeline or vessel without the need for a dedicated sample line. When removal is required, an integral ball valve isolates the sensor without shutting down the process. BOS SAFETAP is offered in all current measurement ranges from 0.5 ppm to 25% oxygen (gas phase) or 1ppb to 22 ppm (liquid phase).The oxygen measurement is highly selective toward oxygen thus not affected by H2S, CO2 or other contaminant gases. www.BarbenAnalytical.com
Wanner Engineering Inc.
Wanner Engineering, Inc. is offering its T80100 Hydra-Cell Seal-less Pump with flow rates up to 96 gpm at pressures up to 1,500 psi. The pump is suited to a variety of applications including salt water disposal, salt water injection, bulk transfer, hydraulic lift and steam generation. The pumps are “packing-free” and designed to replace horizontal multi-stage centrifugal pumps and packed plunger pumps in oil and gas applications. Snap-on Industrial
The new gas meter wrench, a tool designed jointly between the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Snap-on Industrial, is designed to reduce the risk of injury to utility workers who service or replace gas meters, while improving productivity and efficiency. The tool reduces peak pressure points on the hand by 20% and reduces muscle activity in the arm and shoulder by 20% and 40%, respectively. Schneider Electric
Schneider Electric announced the new BLISS (baseline integrated SCADA system) solution. BLISS combines Schneider Electric’s Enterprise OASyS SCADA – and its advanced application with IT infrastructure – with compute and networking provided by Cisco to deliver an IoT-enabled holistic pipeline management platform for new pipelines or upgrades to systems. One aim is to provide operators with real-time visibility into the structural integrity of the pipeline to enable maintenance to be planned or immediate repairs to be affected.
